What resources are available for helping with these issues?

There is a growing list of resources to aid parents of young bright and gifted children. The Ruf Estimates™ of Levels of Gifted Online Assessment feedback on resources (provided at the end of the assessment) is updated for current information, working links, and newest options at least two times a year. Remember, the feedback has been designed to be appropriate for 13 different levels and profiles of intellectual abilities and includes a profile of your child’s strengths and weaknesses, as well. The resource recommendations are especially tailored to apply to the specific child who has been assessed, of course.
Parents cannot assume that their child’s school, pediatrician, counselors or therapists will have background or expertise on the unique needs of gifted children. As many parents discover in those first few crucial schooling years, most people don’t know much about this topic—how intelligence and intellectual profile affect one’s entire life—at all.
